Expo Floors Ltd have worked with Ryder Cup Europe since 2006. With over a decade of working together, the trusted relationship between each other has grown to play an integral part of creating and generating amazing tented villages working with the management team and onsite contractors. Each Ryder Cup has had its different challenges, at the Celtic Manor on the eve of the Opening ceremony we were tasked with bringing in additional flooring due to the adverse weather conditions. Working late into the night, an additional 1500m2 of flooring was moved around the confines of the golf course and laid in time for the first day. At Gleneagles the tented village was impressive, with Deboer installing a central bar levelled in and spanning the entire width of the village. Expo Floors created 3000m2 of carpeted walkways all around the village and all external steps, ramps, handrails and landings. 3000m2 of plastic floor was laid to the onsite catering areas and additional 1000m2 was laid to the Opening Ceremony walkway and hospitality areas on course.
